Today, my group and I had banded together to discuss the outcome of our film. We had yet to add music to film. However, we are rather reluctant to do so because our film is built around the tension created by total silence. Through discussion, we plan on using certain ambient noises such as a fan whirring in order to create a sense of familiarity with the audience. Since the idea is to make the viewer feel safe in the house when in reality, nobody is safe. Since there are only two characters, there isn’t much history to expand upon. Also, the characters aren’t meant to have much depth, as the film focusses on the idea of instability and the idea that even in your own home, you’re susceptible to being attacked by the ‘Masked Man’.
